Okay i have been roll searching for quite some time now, and I only go too two banks, I have too say i have been very lucky with the outcome of my rolls, but today's find just blows all of them out of the water. here is the story, I went in and went up too the girl i usually go too, cause she knows what i like, and all the other woman there are Bi..... well well just say there not so nice. but anyways, she says ive been wating for you too come in, so she goes in the back and comes out with two boxes of pennies, i looked through them really quick and all i said was "i love you" in a nice manner, what i have found so far are 1 roll each of the following years: 1939 1940 1941 1942 1943 1944 1945 1946 1947 1949 1951 1952 1953 1955 1956 1957 1958 and 4 rolls of 59 5 rolls of 60 3 rolls of 61 and so on, the list goes on and on, every roll after 52 looks like they havent seen the light of day since they left the mint. I will get some pics up of the rolls before and after so you can see the paper they were wrapped in. oh and there was one that was marked canadian, so i just threw them too the side, then i got too the end and i opened them last and what do you know, there is atleast 1 from every year from 29-59. I have never seen the king dude on a small canadian before so that was pretty cool. he is also on all my large cents. but anyways, there actually was a question linked too this story... so here it is, is it allowed for bank tellers too take gifts from customers? I just wanted too give her a big thanks for all she has done for me thru the years. I wanted too give her a lincoln cent album minus a few dates of coarse. and a small canadian cent album as a thank you. but am not sure if they allow this? thanks for any replys
Not sure of all the details but let me ask you this. Are you single? Is she single? No rings on her or your hands? How old is she and how old are you? By now you should see what I'm driving at. If and when a young girl goes out of her way to help some guy it is very seldom that she is doing this because she is just nice. Because she has nothing else to do. Because she likes coin collectors. Because the sky is pretty blue today. If she is elderly, probably has a single daughter. If she is not elderly, HHHMMM. Another thing I found out a long time ago about some bank tellers. Many wear a wedding or engagement ring to ward off the wierdos. If she has rings on and is young and your young, you may want to mention something like OH, doesn't your husband, boyfriend, etc collect coins? Sorry but this is sounding like a column from Ann Landers.
"female dog" does that clarify for you but anyways, I found a 1947 Canadian small cent with what looks too be a star or something right too the immediate right of the 7 through my loop does anyone know what it means? i see in my whitman, it says pointed 7 and blunt 7 but which is which? oh and pretty much i filled every hole in my small Canadian cent book just off the three rolls i got (pre 60) and there is still more too come, i will take a pic of the cream of the crop in a little while. wow, I am surprised no one has chimmed in with "I would take them back, they must have been from a little old lady who was down on her luck, so you should donate them or somthing" LOL. I used too get that all the time on here when ever i would post in the roll searchers results thread. Me=25 Her=24 Me=married (this is the only 1 standing in my way.) Her=single Me=college graduate Her= attending Me=very low maintenance Her= Very HIGH maintenance (lots of nice rings and jewelry but none on the finger the matters.)
Great finds as for giving her a gift maybe give it to her away from work with you wife with you. Do you have a freind for her? Make sure she knows you are married and faithful.
The "star" is a maple leaf. In 1947 or 48 India gained her independance and the King was no longer Emperor of India. It took awhile to get new hub made and dies produced in England since the legend had to be revised to remove the EMP IND. In the meantime coins still needed to be produced so they used the old 1947 design and placed the Maple leaf by the date to indicate that these had been made after the change in the Kings status.
LOL, that 1 that is standing in your way might as well be Mt. Everest. Don't cross that mountain man. nice finds, I hope to find a teller as nice as yours.
Tell her you want to make a deposit and see what she says. Maybe you can make a play in the vault when the manager steps out for lunch.
