I have a person trying to sell me some 1/2 ounce coins. They have a rat, pig or dog that is colorized on the obverse of the coin. They look cool, but how much over spot are they worth?
It might help if you tell folks what metal they are as the 1/2oz chinese lunar coins are made in silver, gold and I think platinum :smile They are also collected in there own right specialy if they are proof
Sorry as you can tell I am not familiar with the series. They are silver and appear to be proof or better yet a reverse proof.
My Krause catalog states that they are worth $28 in proof, if that helps. I am guessing that this value would be pretty high by US standard.
