AT or NT?

    Picked this up at the ANA show for $1.00 just loved the color. Do you think it is NT?

    I agree, gold and violet are very common on proof Jeffersons

    Thanks! I couldn't pass it up, The dealer even took a double take and mentioned the toning when he looked at his price.

    Looks NT to me. Gold is a common color for nickel to tone. Lavendar is not particularly common, and I suspect it's a bit more blue in-hand.

    The Pic doesn't do it justice it is pinkish/red with violet not much gold!

    Those are typical NT colors for nickel. Not as common as yellow/blue, but not uncommon either. I seem to recall proof sets of this period toning like this occasionally, but there are others with far more experience than I on this subject...Mike
