I ended up with my grandmothers coins and was curious if any of these coins are worth anything?? There was a bunch of older dimes, penny's, and nickels not sure if any of that is worth much though. I was curious about these items first.
Your notes are a Chinese "Hell" note and a US Military Payment Certificate. The Hell notes are intended to be buried with, or burned in honor of, departed relatives, so they will have some spending money in the next world. The MPC notes were used for military payrolls in foreign areas to (hopefully, but not really) cut down on black market money exchanges. They were issued in denominations from 5¢ to $20. The design of yours looks familiar, so it may be a Korean War era note. The coins above your US silver dollars are a Chinese Cash Coin on the left and something unidentifiable from your dark picture. The 50 centimes is French, but without a picture of the other side it's pretty tough to identity more fully. I don't know enough about US currency to hazard a guess whether your three $1 notes have any numismatic value. Your US silver coins are all relatively common, and probably worth their melt value as scrap silver.
the silver certificates you have (if they are series 1935, or 1957) are worth about 2-3 dollars a piece.
That's a very good set of coins and currency your grandmother left you. It could be the beginning of a great set if you stay interested. Don't clean the coins. Start to research what you have. Coins don't have to be 'brilliant uncirculated" to have value or be interesting. You have a good amount of silver in there, and the price has been going up. Most people never sell or trade the coins they inherit from parents or grandparents, and I hope you decide to keep these coins for a very long time.
