any info on this coin??

    It is a copy or replica. It is layered with 24k gold, which means very very little gold.

    It is nice to look at, a nice conversation piece, but thats all.

    Bottom line is is not a real coin at all. Serial number and COA mean nothing. I have one, it is pretty, I wish it was real.

    how could u tell that it was a copy? i didnt see anything. what does "COA" mean?
    i will keep collecting.

    "Copy" on the reverse, the auction lists it as a reproduction. The real deal sold for over 8 million. COA - certificate of authenticity. As they said - pretty copy of a nice conversation piece about one of the worlds most famous coins.

    If you look very carefully below "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the reverse, you can see the word "copy" which the seller worked very hard to obscure by his lighting methods.

    plus its a proof, weren't the original ones that are actually around business strikes?

    There were both Proofs and business strikes.

    A business strike is one intended for circulation, without the extra steps taken to create a proof.
