In continuing my task at hand, (Entering coins into software) I have come across another WHAT IS IT coin. I have found some basic information saying Germany. Its aluminum as far as I can tell. There is no date? Interesting. Is it a coin? Token? Dunno. Hopefully somebody here has seen one and can enlighten me on this.

    Thanks in advance!

Looks like a 20 Pfenning token from some sort of "Fest" in Nurenburg.

It's a trolley token, I think. Nürnberg-Fürther Straßenbahn means "Nuremberg-Fürth Tram". The Weinstadel (on the other side) is a famous old building in Nuremberg. http://www.historische-meile.nuernberg.de/grafik/31weinstadel.jpg Used to be a hospital, then a storage place for wine (hence the name), and now is a students home/dorm ...

    "Strassenbahn" is German for streetcar.

Seems that this company issued more tokens in that style or series:

I just checked - the "Nürnberg-Fürther Straßenbahn" company existed between 1881 and 1959. The piece here looks 1920-ish to me, but I could be wrong of course.

Well, no jackpot here, but a coin with some history for sure. Thank you all so much for the help with this one. I am still going through my odds and ends so I may be pleading again soon!

    Your all awesome!
