Ok, another guess the hammer price thread. This one is an 1882s Morgan, PCGS MS 67 CAC. 10 bids so far, and $802.00, without the vig.

$1,400 with the fee is my guess.
It's nice but not special enough to go for a large toning premium.
I actually bid on this coin when it sold at Legend for $1,586 in April of 2022 (was well short; it was more of a throw in bid in case the coin sold for under $1,000-which it had two previous times at HA in 2013 and 2014).

I really like golden toning, so for me, it is kind of nice. I will guess that it will go for $1850, with the buyer’s premium. It is far from a monster (level low 4 for me), but nice. Under $1000 is high for 2013-2014, IMO.

I think it looks nice, but as a 67 I don't think it has the pizzazz to draw too much premium.
    Wild guess $1175

You need a 68 to get a nice premium for this year and mint ?

I think the toning does it, as I have always loved gold toned Morgans. Sometimes, the lighter toned Morgans look better in hand than some of the more heavily toned ones.

You were off by $33.12....that's over 2% !!

I was going to use you for this week's PowerBall and MegaMillions but if you're going to be this innacurate.....:D

I've never won anything on either of those so just do the opposite of what I've done. :p

Ignoring PL/DMPL and the GSA yes you do. Even the 67+ are only in the 2ks generally as there's 200 of them and over 80 68s at PCGS. The 80-S, 81-S, and 82-S absolutely dominate the majority of high grades in the series

I got outbid by the final bid. My maximum was $1200, with the buyers premium. I was the $1165 bid. PCGS price guide has it at $1200 for a 67, and given the nice toning, that was what I was prepared to go.

It was a nice looking Morgan. I'd love to see it in hand.
