    Hi all!

I recently won my second lot from a proper auction house (i.e. not eBay)! It was a group lot of 18 coins, and it set me back about £120 ($170USD)

As an antoninianus collector, I bid on three lots in total. The two I didn't win included a Macrianus antoninianus, while the other had a rare SPQR issue of Gallienus.
However, the one I did win had some nice coins, the highlight probably being the Claudius II Gothicus antoninianus

While it is a bit rough, it is quite a rare issue. The reverse shows she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus (already unusual for the emperor), but the legend is PM TR PO PP, with SPQR below. Initially, I didn't think the reverse had any meaning (apart from the SPQR), but after some research, it appears to give Claudius II the title of:

Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia POtestate Pater Patriæ

    which translates as

Grand Pontiff vested with the Tribunitian Power Father of the Fatherland - In the name of the Senate and the Roman People).

I've decided to keep that coin and 8 others from that lot. The rest will be going up on eBay, to hopefully recoup some of the exorbitant sum I spent on the lot lol

It's very rare, and I think it's an obverse die-match with this one.

Ah yes, so it is! I've just submitted my picture of my coin to that site as a new specimen, as the picture they've currently got is a bit grainy.

I hope they add mine as an example :)
