`57` & `59` silver proof sets

What is the value ? , they are still in the orig mint packs

well thats another thing there. lol I was waiting or you to say opened.

You could sell those on ebay as unopened and get something around $100 each. Or at least that's what I have seen them sell for. Actually thats low balling. I saw a 1957 proof set unopned sell a few weeks ago for almost 300. lol As well I saw a open 1959 proof set sell for50ish a few days ago.

 

That's odd as they were... never sealed.

Someone licked it or moisture "sealed it." I could seal the unsealed ones my grandfather gave me, then they'd be unopened! Magic almost, eh?

-Unless y'all are talking about the *original white envelope* it was mailed in from the mint (would have an address on it and the unsealed brown envelope would be in that), or maybe an unopened, sealed brown box (again with unsealed envelopes inside), but rarely are people talking about this when referring to "unopened proof sets."

Ask someone who is more into proof sets of that era than I am. There were a few years where they were sealed, but '57 & '59 weren't one of those years far as I recall. Was a few years before that (and only for a short time).

If all of the Franks want too you can go to the User CP---find that on the menu bar up-above---click there and then click on Edit Profile---you will see that on the side menu bar---then on that page you will see Custom User Title---type your "name" The Other Other Frank" for example and then click save and right below your icon where mine says Moderator yours will say The Other Other Frank
