hello all, I have taken a long break from coin-hunting I am not as active as I used to be, and I can no longer get coin boxes so all I am getting now is what the mint sends me I am in rolled in the woman's quarters sub. going through the 3 rolls this is what I have found. so what do you all think YES DDR or NO MD
no way is that strike doubling does not look the same and you can clearly see the separation of the devices
this is strike-doubling see how the doubling loops around the end of the L an I the be is flat and the bottom is cut into the device as well as the E and R red maker is yes damaged green shows how different the 2 photos are. left circle blow the right arrow is also doubling on the buttons complete separation line all the way through and the doubled part doesn't look flat as in photo above
Nope.. That is Die Deterioration doubling. Your quarter is not a doubled die variety. You could try to prove it all you want but nobody will agree with you.
@paddyman98 and 2 experts have said that J.F.M was ddr. wexler and Paul from CNACA. that you said it was d.d.d. I have all so asked you to look at a conversation a long time ago. this coin does not show any d.d.d
Nobody can ever be 100% correct. Even Mike Diamond has admitted to giving the wrong Attribution at times
It is not a DDR at all in my opinion either. DDD is my best bet also. Several of those old timers were trying to get the largest list up to attract newbies, but many times way off. IMO, Jim
@paddyman98 I get NO ONE is 100% correct but I have had 2 coin experts in their field. state that the 2020-D Salt River Bay is wDDR-001. but you have NOT admitted that you were wrong! I get that you probably will still deny that it is a Discovery ddr.
I don't care! That's not a doubled die variety.. I'm done here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And there are other members that agree with me if you read the other comments!
You didn't ruffle my feathers at all. I'm here laughing at this waste of time thread! We answered your original question which I quote "so what do you all think YES DDR or NO MD".. Why do you continue with your nonsense? The majority of us told you it is not DDR
Do you see this? This is what the strike can do to a coin. Doesn't fit in the brainless mantra, "flat and shelf-like," doh? Your planchet took a hop when it was struck. Tell your boys to come on here and tell us otherwise, I'd love to hear it...
Even if it's really single-press hubbing chatter, the hobby needs to find a new term for it. It's not really DDO or DDR; it's more like MD but on dies. I mean, there's over 100 of these things on Wexler for 2009 cents alone. I get that it's fun to discover something but I have trouble being interested in them. I tend to agree that this one is DDD though.
edited @eddiespin Sorry but those are the horrible pics I have seen in a long time come back with some better photos, please none of my photos come even close to what you are trying to show me there are no cuts/hop-in devices in my photos. and yes I have proven this chat wrong before, I have 2 discoveries coins listed on Wexler's website 1 of which I was chatting with paddyman98 has been seen by 2 experts and is confirmed that tho it is minor it is still a WDDR-001 you can go see it for your self it's the 2020 D salt river bay WDDR-001 on Wexler web site and the other one is the 2019D River of No Return WDDR-001 humm look familiar that is on Wexler's website as a bubble die that sure looks a lot like this also looks
Minor?.. more like boring if I may say Those "minor" DDO and DDR aren't even true Doubled die as mentioned by @eddiespin
