I looked on ebay and they are going for more then 38 dollars just wasent sure.. I dont think these sell for the same as silver per ounce.
That grading company isn't one of the majors (actually I'm unfamiliar with them), so that's why I gave the generic price. If it was one of the tops TPGs, I could see it selling more for those wanting a bullion coin in that grade.
(If you got it for under $5 over spot, this wouldn't apply much to you.) That coin is not MS70, period, as I see minor marks, one right below the T in Liberty, to mention a few. Also, most, almost all CT members (including me) say to NEVER, under any other circumstances, buy from those TPGs. Not surprising, as wpgjr said $38 My opinion, but it's your collection, and you can do anything with your coins If I were you, I would NOT have it regraded (as it will end up in the 68 range), and if you want, take it out of the holder. Your choice, as I said earlier
No, he means that it is only worth whatever an ounce of silver is worth (aka, the "spot price" of silver). Many people have that attitutude about the US silver bullion rounds. I've consistently seen them sell for 2-5% over spot, but the condition of an ASE is far less important than it is for any other US coin. If you're looking for an investment, I recommend grabbing some high end Peace Dollars or US Philippines coins (which also currently trade very close to spot, but I expect to jump up in the next 20 years).
