2006 "sea captain " nickel

    my first 2006 nickel carving..cut field deeper, new ear, new eyes, added old sweater, ruffled and layed moustache and beard, etc.

    I use the same tools as knife and gun engravers, i also engrave knifes.the main tools are gravers, engraving vise, microscope, burnisher..

    Ed, i don,t carve as many coins as i used too as i,ve other engraving interest, but i do plan on recarving all four of the ones to be released this year..
