Happy New Year everyone. Hope you all had a great one. I have a question about this coin. I know it is really damaged. My question to you all is, what causes the coin to look this bad?.. do you think it was run over to many times untill someone picked it up. Could it have gotten damaged in a machine of some sort. Thanks in advance.

Run over by a car? Possible
    Stuck in a machine? Possible
All things are possible. The only one who knows how it happened is George. And boy, he's seen some stuff...

    Not an error.
Damaged, mangled, worth 25 cents if anyone will accept it.
Possible road rash. I think if it was stuck in a machine there would
be more machine like marks and possibly more symmetrical scratches.

Let's say this was a mint error. (It's not.) What would stop people from damaging their coins to look like this? Nothing.

So the only ERROR here is that no one stopped the person from HURTING George then CORRECT?!?!?
