Does anyone think that $70.00 for a 1999-S, 9 coin, Proof set is a fair price? Also, has anyone done any business with "CoinBug.com"? I have a chance to buy this set, but don't know if this "CoinBug" web site is legit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to ALL!! swick
The problem with CoinBug is that it isn't a seller, it's a venue for posting fixed price offers. That means that like EBay, Yahoo, or any other bid-type site, the proper question is "Does anyone know anything about Seller XX at CoinBug?" I didn't see any feedback section there, so you don't even have that slight bit of information about the individual seller. Want to borrow my 20' pole?
Thanks folks! I'm so happy that I have this place to go to when I have a question about "coin stuff"!! Yinz just saved me $70.00. I'M BUYIN'!!! swick
You got it for free?? I want a free one too!!! Seriously, what did you pay? ( If you don't mind me asking. )
Mike, I stayed away from the deal.....it turns out that the person who was selling that set DID NOT even have it! He said that he checked all over his house, 3 banks (???), and any other place he could think of! But, he COULD NOT find the set?!?!? Oh well....easy come, easy go! I think the 20 foot pole was the best idea! By the way......I'M STILL BUYIN'.....GOT $70.00 EXTRA!!!!LOLOL swick
Coin world has them advertised for $69 (Coast to Coast). But, I never bought anything from them, and wouldn't. Any opions about Coast to Coast? They are usually on the high side.
Frank, I do believe that $69.00 for the 1999, 9 piece, Proof, Silver Set is a VERY good price. I see the sets on E-Bay going for $300.00 more or less. (usually MORE) What's the problem with "Coast to Coast"? swick
Swick: Sorry, I got the price for the clad set, oops. Never mind. The silver would be $325 or more. I never dealt with them, but I have heard some neg feedback about them from others. So, not my experience, but, hey, if you want to pay retail, go for it.
