Brand new to the hobby and was looking through my toll paying coins in the ashtray of my car and found this 1991 Nickle with a curved clip. The edge shows the cut and tear marks. The rim opposite the clip area is flat and broad on both the obverse and reverse. I feel the reverse shows this better, IMO. Is this considered a clip since the area cliped is a very small percentage? I've heard the term "Blakesly effect", does this refer to the area opposite the clip or the metal flow going into the clip? This makes me very excited as it is my first error find. Even if it isn't a big deal, I've found my first keeper!:goofer:
Looks genuine to me, NICE FIND. And as a newbie you almost got the spelling correct. I know I didn't. Blakesley Effect And welcome to the forum.
