1983, die break or small cud?

I'd say die break. Interesting one. What year is that?

 

It's a die crack, not a die break. By the way, the term "die break" is non-specific. It refers to any brittle fracture that leaves a void in the die face. A cud is a type of die break.

 

A die crack...many,many 83 and 84's have various die cracks on the reverse. I'm still trying to find one with all four corners with cracks.

 

This is a very common place for these on the 1983s.
