i have a roll of 1960 unc beautifully toned cent and i was wondering if it was worth sending to be graded if they all probely around ms-65 ms-67? also they are in a old clear coin roll and they are mostly stuck:goofer: anyone know a good idea to get them out? maybe when i get off my lazy butt ill post some pictures someday
I don't feel you will be happy with the results if you send them to be graded. Are they small or large date?
Good Morning . To get them out of the plastic tube use a hair dryer but heat the tube slowly and it won't effect the coins. I just did this on 2 tube bound rolls I had on the advice of a local dealer and it worked perfectly.
To be clear on this. A roll of 1960 UNC small date cents is worth probably 100 times more than the large date or the Denver rolls of large or small date. If you can pull some MS-67 coins it might be worth the grading fees. I'm not sure but I don't feel that is going to happen. 67 is a tough grade to get. The roll is probably worth much more as is.
Grey sheet for an Unc. roll of 1960 Large Date cents is $1.00/$1.10. Grey sheet for an Unc. roll of 1960 Small Date cents is $170/$180.
