Normal. But it appears to be a high grade BU. I've only seen one ding in the rim. But other areas may be damaged that are not shown. Before Putting it back into the roll you might consider this?
I just re-read you thread title. "You asked if there were a variety this year?" I guess no one really answered the question? The answer is yes. But your coin isn't one of them from what I can see. But still a keeper in that condition.
