I have a 49-d d over s jefferson nickel,I'm pretty sure,I can clearly see the start of the s under the d on the outside edge of the mm,but the d mm itself is full of crud from it being in circulation. So my question is is how would you go about cleaning it so it is visible or would you? and I was thinking of sending it in to be graded and authenticated,Is it worth it? Also have a 1950-d J-Nickel in near mint to mint condition, would you send it in to be graded and slabbed?
375 veiws and nobody knows if I should try to clean the junk out of the mintmark and nobody thinks its worth sending sending in for grading or authentication? No Opinions?
@Coindoge, this thread is from 2009. I don't think they have a picture. LOL welcome to the forum, please be mindful of the dates of posts. there's some old stuff on here.
