I have here a 1940 One Rupee India, and I wanted to know if it is real silver, and does it have much value? Thanks

This is the design of the coin, but not the actual one. My camera does not take a picture clear, and my actual coin is in MS 60 condition. Thanks!

Thats a nice coin! According to Krause: It contains silver - yes - 11.66g of 0.500 silver.(0.1874 oz) Has a mintage of 153,120,000 and is worth pretty much bullion unless it is UNC (catalogue value $20)

It is uncirculated. So you are saying it contains about 3/4 of an ounce of silver?
