Fellow coin enthusiasts, I wanted to ask whether the 1926 Peace Dollar with “GOD” in high relief is a specific variety, or just a way for coin dealers to market the coin. I noticed that in the Littleton catalog, they associated the high relief with the “Scopes trial”. I purchased this coin from a coin dealer for around $20.
It's just a marketing gimmick. the word was strengthened on the hubs in 1926, as it had previously been weak.
