I noticed a fellow here that was surprised to have "found" a 1927/7 Mexican Centavo coin. To be realistic, most of the Mexican coins of the 1920's to 1940's show some degree of repunching. If you use a loupe and spend a couple of minutes you'll realize that this is the rule for the majority for these issues rather than the esception. Here are some examples.First one comes from a 1928 2 centavos coin, second is also a 2 centavos coin but dated 1921, third is a 5 centavos coin 1917 and the last two images come from a 1933 peso. :secret:

How interesting--I especially like the 1933/3 :thumb:
Great coins and pics! I'll keep my eyes open for these at the next coin show.

They are lots of fun to see all those repunched dates and even some lettering. In some issues are more obvious than others, but is definitely not a rarity for this period. These coins are VERY cheap compared to the US counterparts, so it's an alternative to have these for study, show and tell or simply for fun!
