This is a 1920 Australian 1 penny. Is this a dot under the scroll? I've enhanced the photo to bring it out, but it is barely visible on the coin. I don't get to see these very often. Thanks for any assistance.

Cool! Thanks! Found this and just about all my Australian coppers in a coin dealers junk box. Got a few 1946 1p, 1931 1/2p, 1911 1p, 1939 'Roo 1p, and a bunch more. Don't suppose you've found any 1914-D U.S. cents in a dealers junk box?

Cdb1950,the 1939 Kangaroo 1/2d. is a scarce coin in any grade. The most talked about Aussie coin is the 1930 1d.

Haven't come across any of those, yet. I'm still looking. It's pretty amazing, sometimes a dealer will buy a collection with a lot of foreign coins. Usually, the silver, gold, or uncirculated pieces are taken out and the rest go in the junk box.

Cdb1950,you are extremely unlikely to find a genuine 1930 1d.A genuine one is worth several thousand dollars.I have seen a few deceptive forgeries, which can be difficult to pick out without experts assistance.

Well, if I find one I'll post it for authentication.

I did find a nice doubled die obverse 1931 1/2d. Pretty neat.
