Hello everyone, I have been researching this coin/necklace and cannot find one like it?
It was in my mothers trunks with her old jewelry and we were both wondering what it is or if anyone has seen one before? Looks like a real 1908 barber quarter but I do not know. Thanks for looking and for your comments

It probably was made from a genuine Barber. There was a thread awhile back that had a few coins like yours, I forget what they are called though. Maybe someone else knows what thread I'm talking about?

Either way, it's a cool piece. :thumb:

I think the technique is called repousse. There's a barber dime on eBay right now that's done the same way. I've seen the half dollar as well.

a bunch of these were made as jewelery in the 1910's unlike love tokens, yours is worth about $75. if you would like to sell let me know!

I have one very similar to it which was my grandfather's ... I am going to take pics when I get home and post them. I'm glad I know what it is now! Thanks
