Just picked up this 1833 Half Cent from a local dealer today. I'm slowly putting together a type collection and am going to add this. I would like grade opinions (and opinions in general) as I am ridiculously unfamiliar with old cooper.

    Thanks in advance!

    I'd put it at VF-30.

Maybe a little higher. Half-ents don't scan their details very well.

It looks like a xf-40 to me. Maybe a little higher, but not much.

Definitely EF-40. That's a super half cent you bought and it still has a little bit of red left on it.

    Nice coin

Very good example of the series. I'll venture XF-40/45 as well.

Really nice half cent---I agree with the grades of XF.
I only have one half cent and it would grade close to this---I need to start a type set as I think it would be fun but I just haven't gotten around to it.....
