    NICE COINS! I AM SURPRISED AT SOME OF THE DESIGNS. THEY ARE SO INTERESTED IN GOING BEYOND (sorry, caps lock - thats what happens when you dont look at the screen while you type lol) what might be acceptible! the desings on their coinaga varies greatly, and cant really be defined by any single type. its not all dead preseident faces, or in this case queens and kins or princes, its not all alagorical ... desings get quite a mix up in variety - of course, i am sure it helps them sell alot of coinage to the closets of collectors!!

    It's very big buisness over here the same I assume as in the US LOL have to admit I am not very keen on the upcoming 2008 £2 coin it commemerates the Olympics and the design is so-so IMHO LOL I am though looking forward to getting my paws on the 2 new £5 coins when they are relised one is for Charles 60th birthday and the other commemerates Elizabeth the First

    Postman has very kindly just deliverd my 2008 Britannia from the Royal mint and I must say I quite like the new design of it :) (Designed by John Bergdahl) the version I have is the .9 58 Silver bullion it is 40mm in diameter and weighs in at 1oz :kewl:

    I really like that 100 Escudos :D

    The coins from Kazakhstan are really cool designs and I have always liked the Polish coins for some reason.

    I always liked the mid-80s 1L coins, with the younger portrait of elizabeth...not the really young one, but the full bust. I got a few proofs with different reverses from 1984 and 1985, very pretty coins. I especially like the older one you put up last year...silver commemorating elizabeth the first, pretty.
