Unfortunately for you, if you like original coins, knowledge is key. The grading companies love cleaning nice original dark surfaces off of coins...

Besides all that has been said already, the coin looks harshly cleaned to me.
$1.50, maximum. Be sure to check for "poor man's double dies," that have minor date doubling. These are worth $1-2 dollars apiece.
