Are you sure the first pic and last pic are the same coin?
To me it looks like the 40 reverse, Note how the steps have a straight line on either end.
If you look at the D in United just east the crack is more visible. I do agree these aren't the best pics and it does look incuse. But it is...

I admit it's hard to see the northern most die crack at the edges,But it does run rim to rim,and the 3 southern most die cracks are pretty nice....
