That six pence is very pretty. I was going to go with a 4 because of some dullness on the obverse but since both sides toned nicely I'll give it a 5.
Is moon money the same as moon pies?
That's a different situation. Depending on the coin, it would probably be better to break it out and have it slabbed. A toned coin enthusiast...

Pretty clean coin. Since the toning breaks aren't physical nicks I'll go with a green bean.
I totally agree to leave it as is!

Ibid! The reverse is a solid 5 but nothing on the obverse. One really can't "net" toners so I'd give it a 4.
I agree with the 3. If it were more lustrous or rainbow I'd go higher.
I'm glad I'm late to this thread. I saw the nicks and scratches and would have gone MS62 but not details-damaged. I should start a thread called...

Thanks, please do! I hope you are right and they turn out to be nice coins. If so, it should give you some confidence in future dealings with...
I assume you are talking about the coin!
The pictures don't tell me enough about it. Here's a proof 1883 I just purchased to compare it with. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
If I could buy it for XF money then I'd take a chance on it. The poor imagery may hide a scratch or some other mark. I wouldn't pay the price of...
