I had the pleasure of visiting the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta recently, and snapped some photos of the...
Very cool coins and provenances from everyone.
That's why I have both. But when it comes to actually getting things done, bigger is better for me.
I'm definitely an exception in my love for desktops in my age group. I will always prefer a big screen over a laptop. It's what I started out on,...
It really just depends! I do a lot of browsing and buying on my phone and iPad, depending on where I am. But right now I'm on a 27 inch iMac,...
What’s your cleaning process?
A nice looking coin that looks authentic to me. Hard to tell about it being plated without a more precise weight, but the scratches on Hadrian’s...
I'm surprised that anyone wouldn't purchase an unpublished coin! I think it's a very neat thing to have. There are few or lots of them depending...
While I'm not totally sure that's the exact one, I see now how it is a female figure with cornocopiae. I do think that there might be more...
I was seeing a jar with a handle on the reverse :joyful: if it's a person, she has very pointed legs. It could also be upside down. With no real...

I got this in the mail a couple days ago, and I've been puzzling over what is going on with the obverse. I realize it's certainly a low grade...
I had the opportunity to look through some unsorted coins my archaeology professor has (we are planning to catalogue some of them in the future)...
After seeing the advice here and taking some time to consider it for myself, I’ve decided that I will keep and treat it. I’ll start the same way I...
Just keep in mind it's mostly effective with harder deposits, things that don't come off well otherwise. I haven't really tried it for dirt/softer...
So close, yet so far away. It may be modest in the number of items there, but what they do have all look to be masterpieces. I'm planning to head...
If it isn't coming off pretty easily, it's definitely not bronze disease. You never have to poke at it very hard. Especially if it's right on the...
@Ancient Aussie, I think you did a great job treating that coin, even with the loss of the patina. I am still undecided, but part of me leans...
