i still remember that weekend i was set up behind the table at a little coin show in Ca. when common date PCGS MS65 Morgan and Walkers traded hand...
had offers of $1650-$1900 from different dealers. at the time blue sheet was $1650 for PCGS 63. btw; IRL this coin looks better than my PCGS 64.
i paid $310 for the coin about 4 yrs ago.
i bought and sold quite a few 38D PCGS ms65 during the early 90's and most of them had the bright nickle color,paid $50 ea and sold them for $60 ea.
no,not really...back in the 90's PCGS was more strict on type coins than NGC,but with gold pieces NGC was on par with PCGS. JMO :)
i've always been a PCGS fan. i still own a few PCGS coins with their first generation holder.
