From what I can see from the pics, I think it looks ok. Corrosion would explain it being too light cause corrosion is going to eat away the metal....

Take a toothpick and press on the spot. It will pop releasing the gas trapped underneath from the rotting zinc.
Maybe its the pics but the hair looks wrong and there is pitting. Maybe cast. The hair definitely looks off though
