Right.. I was thinking mechanic's die stamp. I used to see lots of small change stamped during the 1970's.
Maybe it's just me because I am not experienced enough with errors, but if I saw that, I would think immediately that it's a Mr. L's Chinese-Special.
Nice suggestion. I myself use a regular stereo microscope, focus, then put my camera's lens up to the eyepiece, focus macro, then snap.

I have one of Jesus too, hanging up in my 1970's rec room that's handsomely trimmed with that 1/16" faux paneling stuff... Just above my 8-track deck.
