Hi, a question to collectors of Spanish notes: I noticed that on eBay there are often bundles of pesetas banknotes that are almost 100 years old. Is this common? I only collect Italian notes and there is no way to find 50 or 100 old banknotes with running numbers. Only bundles of the very last set of Italian lira are easy to find.
Hi, thanks for answering. I see for example 50 consecutive notes of 500 pesetas dated 1931. I don’t know if the policy of the forum allows pasting a direct link.
Pretty sure Spain is on the euro now so those would have been demonetized, not to mention the WWII turmoil means they probably stopped being exchangeable 60 years ago
It depends what the collector value is, as there is no face value. If they are selling 50 of them for ($626) currently, then I would suspect they are worth less than that.
