I bought one off ebay for three bucks and some change. The Red Book lists an MS for ten bucks. Is it 90% silver? It's well circulated, and it shows. Is it worth putting in a holder, or should I just put it in a tube with the rest of my junk quarters? Oh I forgot, it's a proof.
So would a circulated proof quarter be worth only the spot silver price? I can't see anyone paying a premium for it because it's a proof.
Depends on how heavily circulated it is and how much eye appeal it still has in this condition, why not post a quick pic of the coin...
Does look like tone. At first I thought maybe someone cracked it out and spent it because of the tone not knowing any better. Too bad you didn't find it in circulation yourself.
Thats where my quarter went.I would junk it,unless it is a super low mintage, and honestly I didnt even check,I just threw it in the coinstar last week.J/K
