Also how do you check the serial number to make sure it’s not cut from a sheet?

This is an offset second printing error. The third printing appears to be in the correct position in relation to the side of the note (this is often misinterpreted as also having a shifted third printing). It is extremely unusual to find one of these in the wild! It just goes to show that most people don’t really look at the money they handle.

Nice little error. Congrats on the find.

Although I agree with the description, I would use a different word than offset. I would call it a misaligned second print error.

I'm glad I read this post.
At first I thought it was from a sheet that someone had purposely miscut to create an apparent error.
But @SteveInTampa and @Jersey magic man took care of that.
Plus I finally looked at the back and saw that its alignment was normal.

Another nudge to my brain to think it through before I render an opinion.

    Thanks, guys.

    Great find.
Looks like the entire sheet was off alignment for the third print and cut. Just enough of the next note showing to be worth a premium.

Very nice error!! I look at every bill that passes through my hands, have yet to find anything really cool. Good eye! This is one that is pretty easy to distinguish between a legitimate error and a created one.

Nice. Have you had this for a while? Or a recent find? Thanks for sharing. I've found misalignments before, nothing I felt was worth keeping, but this one, WOW!

OK, I can go along with that. Misaligned appears to be a better description.

I think the third printing is exactly where it is supposed to be. If you can shift the second printing (in you minds eye) to the right normal position, you will see that the third printing is as it should be. Or you can measure the third printing from the edge of the note. That' my story and I am sticking to it.

Even if it was cut out of a sheet, the printing is off.
