Has anyone ever won coins from Key Date Coins auctions, more specifically Morgans or Peace dollars, and submitted them for grading? Just curious as to how the grades turned out as opposed to they grades they use as almost all are graded by SEGS before the auction.

I keep getting PCGS coins back as
polished after 90 days of being in place. I think I said this before but I do not trust them. NGC I am going to try. I do have one more voucher fromPCGS though

Coins from Key Date Auctions or just coins you submitted to PCGS? If PCGS is sending them back details, polished, I am pretty sure NGC will do the same. I have a dealer account with NGC.

Did you check with the BBB before posting here?

If you’re constantly getting coins back as polished the problem isn’t with PCGS. Learn from the experience

The BBB is a joke and means nothing. There’s countless articles out there about them just giving you good reviews if you pay their fees, I’ll never get why people think it’s some sort of watch dog

I wouldn’t believe the story one way or another if they didn’t especially not for multiples. There’s obviously some subjectivity for cleaning that could get differing grades but polished is pretty straight forward

Maybe but I don’t think that’s the case here. Maybe you should have taken the time to research Key Date Coins on the BBB site before you posted.

Maybe you should take some time to actually do research on the BBB before recommending them as something that should be looked at

I’ll even help you out a little in it.

Thanks for the info all. It says AU but polished. Others just say Authentic AU etc.
I did send in a nice Canadian Dollar and it came back as MS 68 even though I thought it should be a grade higher. In viewing values, I see there is a major difference between MS-68 and MS 69, and their subjectivity is probably based on those numbers. Just Guessin?

OK. I assume correct and I don't want to send for 2nd opinion but I have others that I want to send but I want to see how they grade. There is no way these were polished.
NGC submission keeps asking me for my FedEx number. Trying to do it online has been difficult. I do have a business account with FedEx. I will try that way. Just don't want the IRS in my back pocket. Have not any sales to date anyway from the business. Just have an account

Whose facts? Those of a mass media outlet that puts out sensationalistic journalism to raise advertising dollars? Who's taking money in that instance?
A smart person forms their own opinion after taking the time too short real facts vs. headlines. Yes the BBB will give your business their accreditation if you pay their fee's and agree to their code of conduct and ethnics which includes responding to and resolving customers complaints. The very same way PNG works.
The OP asked about specifically about the business practices of Key Date Coins. You have made five posts in this thread but haven't responded once to the OP's question. (remember the OP?) Instead you fed in to derailing the thread with another poster while trying to inflict your self centered, self serving, arrogant (am I leaving anything out here?) (oh yes) narcissistic views upon me, the only person who answered the OP's question.
Can you really stand on your claim that these reviews were the result of KDC not paying off the BBB or these complaints could have been bought off?
I have no problem being politely/professionally corrected or hearing out someone else's view but you take the cake.

If you're buying from Key Date Coins, aka SilverTrades, you're an idiot. They grade coins in-house WAY over their actual grade to increase auction prices. Just wait until you get them graded by real professionals and find out you've been ripped off. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Buy coins graded by real professionals.

    A one * review:

    "Unavailable Lot" Syndrome
My final transaction with this auction house was when i won another lot that they said was unavailable. This is the second time they have done this to me. Forget the fact i received the other lot i won and a handwritten note saying it was unavailable 3 weeks later!!! They lied in messages here that i was out bid. I had pre bid for a significant amount higher than what the lot was hammered at when i won. They are shady as all the other auction houses on here have NEVER said a lot i won was then unavailable. While filing my complaint with the Better Business Bureau (which Key Date never answered) i saw many complaints about the same thing and they have changed business names in the past. Since they never answered my complaint and flat out lied to me that i was outbid, i have filed a complaint with NJ Consumer Affairs and will file a federal complaint, if possible, as well. Stay away there are plenty of good auction houses that don't cheat their customers for profit.

What facts, the facts. There's countless outlets that have proven what a pay to play joke it is for well over a decade that was just one example. At one point they gave Hamas an A- rating. It's a joke of an organization no one should pay the slightest bit of attention too. I put 0 weight in the PNG as well

If you really wanted to help someone with coins instead of directing them to some pay to play ratings why dont you point out that if coins especially expensive coins are in an off brand holder its for a reason. That reason could be historical of a hard to find older holder, but generally because it wouldnt do well at first tier TPGs. Same games for raw coins being sold online especially expensive ones. If you think you're getting a great deal from something raw or offbrand from a niche auction house you almost never are
