The 2020 5-coin set sells for about $70, raw coins $12 (some selling for much more), graded coins $20-$40. The set cost $60 from the Mint. Is this because of the "newness" of the set? (and there hasn't been enough trading hands). Is there another factor I'm not aware of? Sets prior to 2019 sell in the range $30-$40. That's for what I've bought them on eBay. The 2018 Reverse Proof was a little more. (all prices from eBay sold auctions)
Many people wait until later in the year to order things so they can get everything at once and pay just one shipping charge. In 2020 in October they suddenly raised the price of the silver proof sets from about $63 to $105. The result was a lot fewer 2020 sets were ordered than 2019's or 2018's. Dropped by I believe over 100,000 sets. And the high price has kept people way this year as well. So far set orders are down about another 100,000 sets. 2019 was 490,000 sets, 2020 was 377,000 sets, so far 2021 is at 235,000 sets. (The 2019 and 2020 figures are the five coin and ten coin set figures combined.)
