I got it at an auction of World Coins. It was included in a lot of 'Miscellaneous'.

This coin is most likely from the Middle East or Indian Subcontinent and struck before World War II. I would find a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins and start your search with the Indian Princely States. I hope I was of some help.

If no one here can recognize it and you don't want to fork out $60 for a krause book, your local library probably has a copy.

Better than Krause, try to find a copy of Mitchener's The World of Islam. Its much more expensive than $60 though.

If you are looking for the best deal on books go to Half.com or Amazon. I would never pay retail again. But first go to the Krause site and find which book you want, then to the others to buy. Sorry Krause but you charge toooo much.
