'Big Short' investor Michael Burry warns the 'mother of all crashes' is coming - and predicts crypto and meme stocks will plummet (msn.com) Lets all have a civil conversation. What do you think?
Hi tommy03, It kinda reminds me of those people on the street corner with signs stating 'THE END IS NEAR'....'PREPARE FOR THE END-DAYS'...etc. I suppose Eventually EVERYTHING happens....next year, or in a thousand! Not much I can do about it...except maybe bring a six-pack & a peach pie to the party. Happy Dads-Day to all those Pa's, J.T.
I think a Digital (crypto) Dollar will suck a lotta air out of the room. The question is..."When?". Meme stocks are a different animal.
Well, bitcoin is down to $35, 808 right now but anyone who holds should be fine. That said, I can imagine that some people who bought due to "fomo" and have since sold may have lost money, maybe big money. I've read that Bitcoin is doing what it's supposed to do, seems like every 4 years it goes down in price as it resets. It amazes me that people like Elon Musk says something or tweets something and blamo the price goes down, or up, it's crazy!! I don't think any of these people talking smack about the future price of crypto truly knows anything more than the next guy.
I did make it last for 4 days but now, out of fresh Central TX peaches, I will await a new case. J.T.
The reason I don't do Crypto is once America has an E-Dollar and rest of world as well has similar they will ban and/or over regulate it to death. Crypto or Paper they are only backed by people's confidence not tangible assets.
Almost as if crypto is a reality, and not based on anything physical. Seems that there are a few willing souls that wish it was a commodity, My biggest fear of producing answers to complex algorithms. Is who is benefiting from the answers to the equation. what country's stand to defend this assault. These algorithms are defeating I believe a bit of our cyber security's. If you want to pay all the miners that extort small business's. Then so be it. But, hey there's money in it right?
No im not. What part of e-dollar suggests crypto? There's also basically no difference if a country does it as most of the point is to have something that's independent of a countries financial decisions
It's semantics. The Digital Dollar being developed by MIT and the Boston Fed is based on crypto-currency technology.
Which will be one is a sea of thousands and thousands. Point was edollars have been around forever and even if they release that new crypto it wont change much. The entire point of crypto is to have something independent of governmental monetary decisions not to have a digital tie to it. The governments really dont care that much anyways as long as they get their taxes well aside from the ones that rule by keeping their people dependent and oppressed
This difference is that the Crypto-Dollar will be Legal Tender. I have to admit, I'm not really sure how it will work.
Others are already legal tender and that means little to nothing anyways in that area. People on coin forums have been predicting the demise of crypto for half a decade now yet here we are
Politicians need untraceable currency in order to take large bribes. folders of hundred dollar bills are great for little bribes but these guys can't be rented as cheaply as they were when the health care law was passed. They're probably getting a cut from the "Russian" hackers and all the calls from India too. They aren't going to give it up too easy. They might not agree on how to give all the money to rich people but they all agree on getting money themselves and for their campaigns.
