Decent week. 5 W mint marks 5 S proof/business 5 silver nickels 6 silver quarters 1 Buffalo nickel 2 silver dimes, 1 a winged liberty Various crap
My new Holy grail...The 2020 W nickel! I bet I've had one or two go right past me because I'm concentrating on stupid quarters. Just kidding quarters! You know i luvs ya. This should be a hoot!
Not found, purchased. I ended up calling the post office and raised a little hell. I had a friend that was a carrier, and he taught me some key phrases that gets people's attention. This was supposed to be delivered yesterday, then i saw it wasn't out for delivery again today. Not having that. I just loved this. The walker is a current favorite, along with the standing liberty quarter, and who doesn't love a winged liberty dime? I bid on a ton of these, but this was the only one i won, and the final price was like 12 bucks, free shipping. I couldn't go wrong. I picture, back in the day, bank managers having boxes of stuff like this in their basements, lol. I know this is from Littleton, not a bank, but still...
I have to keep my eye on spot prices, i thought i had scored it for under spot, lol. Either way, I'm thrilled with it. Thanks for stopping in
Happy Father's day to all the dads out there. Gift from someone very special to me. A coin purse! I love it! Sorry @Beardigger, i had to take that Buffalo out of it's flip, get some fresh air. And that S looks perfect in that pic!
Sorry I'm late......but @CoinJockey73 Tale a closer look at the 1939 Nickel you posted here. It is hard to tell for sure from the PICS,,,,but it looks like it could be the DDR (doubling on Monticello and FIVE CENTS)
June 7th? JUNE 7TH?! That thing is buried! @Treashunt, i thought you were eyeballing my '39s? I have it in the ziplok somewhere, shall i go digging?
I think it's great that you took it out of the flip. I'm not a big fan of flips anyway.....although I have hundreds of coins in flips. I prefer airtites for my nicer coins, but then storage becomesa problem, but I'll work it out! LOL. I do like the BCW quarter snaps for my w's....they are the same size as a flip and have an insert that you can wright on, and better protects the coin. I will slowly transfer everything over. but I'm in no rush!
@CoinJockey73 As long as you are going to look through your 1939 nickels, I'd do a quick check of all of them. The easiest way to tell with a quick look is to look at the last O in Monticello....if you see what looks like doubling, set it aside for a closer look. It can be a pretty valuable error. Go here to see what you are looking for. http://www.varietyvista.com/04a JN DD Vol 1/DDR Detail Pages/1939PDDR001.htm
Oh wow, that really stands out. I'm a little jammed with fatherly duties, at the moment, but I'll have a few free minutes with the loupe later. Thanks for the info
