physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Amazon doesn't really sell them - individuals are listing them on the Amazon platform. Kind of like Ebay or Etsy.

Any coins I've seen for sale on Amazon have usually been low quality and overpriced. Haven't really seen any decent material on there - but I haven't been looking for ancients.

Many of the coins I've seen listed on Amazon are not just overpriced, they are enormously overpriced. Many of the examples for sale I have in my collection which I purchased for a fraction of the listed prices.

I’ve debated making a website and listing my coins for absolutely bonkers prices to see if anyone would bite. Worse case you just keep on owning the coins, best case you get the money for even better coins! Lol

Selling fees on Amazon are extremely high, its just not a good place for things that have small margins like coins do.

Even the Capitoline museum in Rome sells ancients from its gift shop in the Campodoglio. I reported this after a visit a few years back and it resulted in a thread of over 500 posts on lamoneta.it, a large number doubting my report, which I had to back with photos and eventually someone chimed in with a coin bought there including dated and priced receipt and etui marked with the museum name. Then the discussion moved on to why the Capitoline museum was selling ancient coins and was it legal (yes it was legal but a tourist buying such a coin couldn't theoretically export it).

I would imagine that counterfeits would be an issue on Amazon too.

I suggest that you consult with Mr. High Ratings-Low Price to find out the best way of going about that.

Before DonnaML posted, I was fighting the urge to mention HR-LP and a dozen others who use this business model. IMHO the worst case scenario is that you will establish you name as a joke to be ridiculed on Coin Talk by people like DonnaML and I. Understand, I have bought several coins from HR-LP over the years and he has some decent coins sometimes marked down to only 2-5 times a reasonable price. Every so often I made an offer and perhaps 10% were accepted providing me with coins I really like and a price I could accept even if not a bargain. If HR-LP were to decide to change his business model, I am sure I would have bought more coins even though I do think he is high at only 1/10 on some coins. Do what you will.

I’m super intrigued who this is! Haha. But no, I say this all in jest. I won’t be parted with my coins until I’m dead.
