Do any of the countries in the EU produced 1oz silver or gold bullion coins similar to the American Eagle? I have never considered the possibility but a quick google search and I cannot find anything.

I know that the UK produces the Britannia coins...but I suppose they don't count as they are no longer a member of the EU (and they never used Euros anyway).

I know that the Netherlands still strikes Silver Bullion coins as Silver Ducats. I have not seen any Euros designated as bullion

I think all the Euro zone countries issue gold & silver commemorative Euro coins but the term 1oz is not used.

I know that Russia, Ukraine and the Republic of Georgia issue 1 oz bullion coins, but Russia is a CSTO state and the other two are mere aspirants of EU membership.

Austria Philharmonics are "valued" at 1,50 Euros for silver and I think 100 for gold.

I'm pretty sure that @furryfrog02 posted the only one that fits the original questions. Several other European countries have bullion (the already mentioned Netherlands, UK, Russia, Ukraine as well as the Czech Republic and Serbia) but none of those fit the bill.

Very interesting. That’s what my searching seemed to indicate but thank you for the confirmation.

Just as a note, Poland strikes .999 silver and gold bullion 'Eagles,' but their issuance is sporadic, and the mintage figures are low. If you go the NBP main branch in Warsaw, you can sometimes snag them at or around spot, but the secondary market quickly inflates the premium.

Also, no longer in the EU, but technically fitting your specifications until last year is Britain, which strikes silver and gold 'Britannias.'

The Austrian Philharmonics are the dominant Euro Bullion coins.
