Some of you might remember when I found my first 1967 SMS Kennedy Half QDO (it came back from NGC as MS66UCAM) - well, today I found my second one! And I'll tell you what... (Tom Segura fans, anyone?) I learned something new with this coin. It's not a Quadrupled Die Obverse - as I was told with the first one - it's at least Quintupled Die Obverse. EDIT: (According to Variety Vista it's a Sextuple Die Obverse!) Can see it clear as day with this second coin. Whole Coin: The great news is that it's another UCAM/DCAM (although I'm a bit concerned about the non-cameo spot right above his ear) and it does not have the same struck through grease issues as the first one that really hurt the eye appeal. It does have a couple large gashes on his cheek, though, so it might even out at the same net grade as the first (assuming it also garners the UCAM designation.) The even greater news is that the strike is better/clearer - so I can clearly see it's a Quintupled Die - easiest to see on the T of LIBERTY: Huzzah!!! Another coin for the upcoming NGC submission!
Yes, I believe the R of LIBERTY shows at least 5-6, although it's not quite as clear to me as the T shows in the photos. It's super cool.
