This one was acquired at face value in circulation, about three weeks ago. Not high value, but definitely one of the sought after coins of the series. And I'd give it a VF30-35
Got this from an eBay auction last year for $78, it bumped an MS66 5FS out of my registry set. NGC Population: 31/1 NGC Price Guide: $150
Larry, when you've posted it as much as I've posted my Kennedy............ ......you're still not posting it enough!
How did that happen? Is it still called a Die Clash or sub-classified as a Mule Die Clash? Did you get it slabbed?
It's called a multi-denominational die clash. Snow-7 FS-01-1857-403 (004) Too much history to type out but 1857 was a crazy year at the US mint.
Yes, total was $92. This is a screenshot of the invoice, and yes, those are Flying Eagles for $20 (pic) & $14 for a '57 and an 1884 IHC (no pics)
Very nice deal! Great catch! I was looking at buying an AU 1787 Fugio Cent a few weeks ago but it was like $700 so I had to pass. :/
Nope! The 200-coin Mint bag cost $135. (68c each) The NGC submission was one of my freebies, and at that time members were allowed to make an appointment to visit the NGC office in Sarasota. So, I didn't have any postage or insurance to pay. NOTE: I only lived a little more than an hour south of Sarasota, and I'd take my Mom with me and we'd have lunch on St. Armand's Key on the trip back home.
Actually, there was one other missing the clad layer, and it was also found in one of the 200-coin Mint bags. The person who found it, sold it raw on eBay for $555 in 2005.
Nice pictures. Show them if you got them. We all want to see these coins. Cent and a 20 gold clash coins happen all the time right. Lol
I believe the 1926 S is the most expensive Lincoln of them all in the Ultra high grades. 90K in ms65 rd.
