Took a huge chance on this. Seller is an auction house that I peruse, but rarely buy anything other than NGC/PCGS coins from. They have a 10:1 ratio of raw to slabbed, and their image (IMO) suck, I usually just track them out of curiosity. They had this, while *technically* graded, it's graded by an unknown company (ie, basement or self-slabber), so in my eyes, it's a raw coin. Images were good enough that I felt I was able to make a decent assessment of the surfaces (that's typically the problem; their images are overexposed to conceal surface hairlines from harsh cleanings, etc) and overall condition. Got it today, and I'm curious as to what you guys think it'll grade at. If I ever get enough time, I hope to be sending this in to PCGS in the next week or two, and will update once the grade comes in. First 2 images are seller's image, second set are mine;
I'm getting MS 63 vibes (I don't think there is any wear and the surfaces looks mark-free). What basement slabber was it?
The check looks good, no darkness indicating wear and the fields look good. I agree with @green18--MS65.
