Contest Prize (CT members vote)

I plan on running a contest after Labor Day. I would like the members of CT to vote which one of the following Morgan Dollars they would like to see as the grand prize. Here are your candidates. Please vote for the one you would like to see most as the prize.

Coin#1: Morgan Dollar 1884-O NGC MS64 (Rainbow Toned)


Coin#2: Morgan Dollar 1885 NGC MS64 (Blue Crescent Toned)


Coin#3: Morgan Dollar 1885 NGC MS65 (Yellow Reverse)


Coin#4: Morgan Dollar 1886 PCGS MS64 (Rainbow Toned)


Coin#5: Morgan Dollar 1887 NGC MS66



Remember, this is not the contest. This is a public vote to decide the grand prize that I will offer in a contest after Labor Day. And yes, you will have to wait until then to get details about the contest itself.

I really like the 87. That reverse is spooky and reminds me of Halloween for some reason. The eagle is looking into the darkness with anger at whatever is coming his way. Or maybe its the darkness he is about to battle with. Muahahahah.

 

I love how rich the tones are on the 84, and the smoky back is really cool too.

 

I voted for the 87, for some reason it just catches my eye more than the other ones. However it works out though someone will get a great prize!

 

Although the 86 is really nice, I went with the 87... I like that grey-teal on the reverse

All the coins are awesome but I liked the toning of coin 4. I hope it gets more votes.

 

I like the 84, the reverse is spooky-cool and on the other side, she has a beard! HAhAHahHAha

 

1887 was my vote. It's a great looking coin. Can't wait for your contest.

1887 NGC MS66 is great

 

Had to go with the 1884 O, I love the toning. :thumb:

 

even though I already have one I still like the 1885 coin $+#2 sort of a mini rainbow going on with it. And though the 87 is graded higher I think its toning is inferior to the 85, that is my 1 1/2 cents worth of opinion, it would have been two cents but I still need to pick up a half cent for my collection

 

I voted for #5. I could use the step up to MS66 for that year.

 

I like the 87

 

I'd take any of them Le , it's almost a tossup between one and four , with the nod going to #1 , great prizes my man , you must of did well in the poker room .

Somehow I like the mystical appeal on the reverse of the '86 (Coin #4)

 

I voted for coin # 5, the 1887. I don't have an MS 66 Morgan but we all know any of these coins will make a great prize.

I'm still new at this but it just appeals to me the most

[I also think everyone wants a 66... :secret: ]

 

I personally like Coin #4 (the 1886 PGC MS-64)! I love the color play of the orange to red to almost purple to a beautiful iridescent blue then to (again beautiful) an iridescent green.

I had to vote for the 1887. While the toning on it may not be as pretty as the others, it's graded MS-66 and it's difficult finding any Morgan graded above MS-65 by either NGC, PCGS, or ANACS.
