2009P dimes

The first one I got in change at the gas station. The second one in change at the store. Now this one from rolls makes three 2009P dimes I have.

 

Searched 2 rolls of pennies....found 1955-S F and 1957-D VG
Searched 5 rolls of quarters....found 1 DC and 1 Puerto Rico.

Thats it.

 

This week I have searched 3 bags of dimes, bag of halves and a bag of cents.
Found 2008 half, 2 1967 40% a few nice keepers
13 silver dimes 1943 mercury and a 1979 -S proof
this really nice toned wheat cent



Heres a pic of the 1911 - D dime that I found earlier.



Also received two 1968 halves from the bank teller yesterday :goofer:

The bank teller gave me two wheat cents today, a 1910 and a 1919-S! :bigeyes:

 

Don't give up, those silver halfs are sly little bugers, I'm sure you will find some soon. :smile

 

What banks have you guys found give you the least trouble about ordering halves? Do any of them give you a hard time when you tell them what you do with them?

4 rolls of dimes: 1 2009 p
4 rolls of nickels: 1 58 and 1 59
4 rolls of cents: 1 56, 3 log cabins, 5 formative.

 

Never tell :secret: or tell them and then tell them about the other bank you dump them at. THey seem to get a kick out of that.

 

commercial banks

My favorite bank, Putnam Bank, told me they can not order halfs because they are not a commercial bank [whatever that means]. Supposedly only "Commercial" banks can order boxes of half dollars.

 

Another $ 20 in nickels today:

There were 2 1959-D, but not worth keeping.

i think I said before on here that my husband is in a popular rock band and they are on tour so I went with him on this leg of it thru texas where they played six flags(very fun by the way) so along the way I stopped and bought boxes of pennies and kept all my change and I was going thru the change today pulling out the wheats (about 22 so far) and found this I believe it's the 36 ddo #2 anyways thought I would share and will post the stuff that I find when I go thru the 14 $25 bank boxes I have picked up along the way thru arizonia,new mexico,texas and nevada

They dont usually give me trouble once I assure them that I will not be depositing them back to that bank (I maintain accounts at multiple banks just for that reason).

 

I got forty dollars in halves. I got 10 1967s, two 1965s, and two 1964s. The most recent date was a 1998.

 

Put the bite on the tellers yesterday afternoon at the drive up window and got 3 40%'s out of 11 halves. I love the convenience of the drive-up windows.

 

got five rolls of quarter and three rolls of nickel. can find what i need. maybe i should buy them.
