No cheating on this one. I'll post pictures that I take next weekend.

I really have no idea. I think you should send it to me so I can examine it further. It really can't be appropriately graded until it can be viewed in the midst of it's rainbow toned dollar sized friends in my Dansco 7070.:kewl: Of course, there is no guarantee that it will be returned once it finds it's appropriate home in my album.

All I can say is WOW! I don't know how to grade these, but I will take an estimated guess and say a W.O.W-MS-65 :D

I toyed with the idea it might be a proof, but I've decided not. Too many places with soft strike (stars on the right, most of Libbie's details).

I'm gonna say it's mint state. Maybe it's AU58+++; it's so hard to spot micro-rub on these pictures.

Pristine fields, good enough for a gaudy grade. Seems lustrous (as much as we can tell from a photo).

A mediocre strike and an obverse fingerprint (?) near Libbie's feet limit it to MS64.

Fabulous coin, of course ! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I would say it is a Au-58 ++ but would say that the TPG would give it a ms-64. I would gladly pay the ms-64 for a coin that looks like that. One of the few times where i actually somewhat agree of a coin being bumped up from au-58 to ms

My guess is MS63 from the pics - especially tough to see detail in the hair.

I say MS63 another beautiful coin Zane. I see Catbert beat me to it.

Yep... little or none. Soft obverse strike, I'm guessing. The reverse seems pretty well struck.

I shouldn't have posted since I have seen this coin. Most likely people wont even read my post though & still post a different grade

It's not an easy coin to forget once you see it.:smile

65/66. Can't see any wear and the toning is great. I don't collect these -too many to complete at their prices, I would have to work 3 jobs to collect those!! I am just guessing on the grade

Is this thing Proof-like ? I don't see any hint of cartwheel, just glassy smooth fields.

Surface preservation like that on a coin this big is tough to find. Very nice.

Whew! Whatever the grade, it gets a *!. Putting on my xray specs, I'll guess MS63, since I think (imagine?) a few marks in the fields. Drop-dead gorgeous!

It is always scary to see a coin like that! In that the voices in my head start telling me I really need one similar and soon! MS64* in my collection it would be a "to death" coin.
