Anyone try to get it today? I did, and while it took 13 minutes of refreshes, sealed the deal.

site is kicking me out, 23 minutes in, still in cart, payment info removed again so every time i try and put CC info back in it knocks me off, they can keep it i quit!!

Edit: okay so i gave it one more try and it went through plus i noticed that the Paypal button was back so i used it and Bingo!

I got all the way to have my CC charged and refunded, twice! I was able to get back to the screen to hit the "place order" two more times. After the last time, I relogged into the mint site and got back in to see the remove from bag screen. Getting closer, maybe next time...LOL. I don't want to win them all, but 1 would be nice... I skipped this. I’d bet the majority of the buyers were newbie flippers. Gonna get stung as EBays flooded with them and likely no buyers

Happily I got one after 21 minutes of frustrating "page loading problems", refreshes, retries and impatient waiting. This apparently happens whenever there's a very high demand. I think the 20,000 mintage may have been an attraction (who knows if there will be more?). I love the design.

Maybe I would have been a buyer for a silver coin. But, no. Logged in at 2:30 EST today just to check the status of my order from last week (they charged my card but it's still . . . "processing") and found that their POS site was still screening my login with Cloudfire or whatever that BS is called. Wondered WTH, and then remembered today's sale. So I checked for fun . . . all sold out. Hope those who wanted 'em got 'em!

That's why I wanted one. I really love the design. And my husband is a WWII nut. Not sure I'm going to give it to him, but at least we got one. :shame:

    Glad you got one!

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

You should give it to your husband. :)

I was able to get one also ...I just had to try it took about 15 minutes and wound up using PayPal with no problem... it turns out I had the wrong expiration date for my CC

I can't believe how many are already posted on Ebay (but then again, really no surprise!) ... I think something a lot of people have failed to notice is this...
    • These products will include a limited quantity of hand signed Certificates of Authenticity (COA) by the Director of the Mint.
To some small degree, I have to believe the ones with a hand signed COA will be slightly more valuable (or at least flip for more) than one without. Some sellers on Ebay will be doing themselves a disservice and leaving some monies on the table. Onward ho to the lucky buyers! ;)

They issued a 1/2 ounce coin with a different design. I swung and missed last week, so was happy to get it today.

After my bad experience last week with the V75 Eagles I was not going to go through another hour of Capcha Boat/Car/Boat/Car and being locked out, "Banned", Credit Card info not there, etc etc etc that was more than enough for me for a long time. Don't know if I will ever try for anything popular ever again. I really wanted the V75 because it was an Eagle and a WWII Eagle. But a medal? I'm sure there will be other mints making a WWII Anniversary Medal for much cheaper. The design is mediocre at best, nothing artistic about it. And I'm glad I didn't waste an hour of my time for nothing today.

The gold 1/2 ounce is a coin, the silver yesterday was a medal.

I'm honesty surprised there was a frenzy for this one. WW2 is always hugely popular but that design is pretty meh
